Return & Refund Policy

Backcountry Sportsman wants you to be satisfied with your purchase. This policy explains when and how returns and refunds are accepted.

By placing an order, you agree to the terms below.

Return Eligibility

You may request a return within 30 days of delivery if:

  • The item is unused

  • The item is in original packaging

  • The item is in resellable condition

  • All accessories and manuals are included

Returns that do not meet these conditions may be declined.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Used or damaged products caused by customer use

  • Products missing original packaging

  • Custom or special-order items

  • Clearance or final sale items

  • Gift cards

Oversized & Freight Items

Large items (kayaks, paddle boards, rooftop tents, etc.):

  • Must be inspected at delivery

  • Damage must be reported within 48 hours

  • Return shipping costs may be higher due to freight rates

  • Original freight charges are non-refundable

We will provide return instructions once approved.

Return Shipping Costs

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the item is defective or incorrect

  • We recommend insured and trackable shipping

  • Backcountry Sportsman is not responsible for lost return shipments

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect the return:

  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method

  • Refunds are processed within 7 business days

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error

Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrives damaged or defective:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery

  • Provide photos of damage and packaging

  • We will arrange a replacement or refund if approved

Order Cancellations

  • Orders can be cancelled before shipment

  • Once shipped, orders must follow this return policy

Chargebacks

Customers agree to contact Backcountry Sportsman before filing disputes or chargebacks so we can resolve the issue.
